Experience
I am certified to teach in the state of Florida. I taught fifth-grade science and elementary K-8 graders in Math and Science in Hillsborough County. I have also tutored high school students in Science. At the moment, I am teaching environmental studies and marine ecology to elementary, middle, and high school students via an internship program in Tampa Bay. I love teaching students about the environment and natural world; Science and Math are subjects I am most passionate about. As a tutor it is my responsibility to encourage a student's natural curiosity. I focus on making subjects interesting and showing how they relate to their own lives. I have a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies/Biology and a master's in Elementary Education from Southern Oregon University. Currently, I am a graduate student studying Water Resource Management at USF, the Patel College of Global Sustainability. I will continue in the Ph.D. Marine Ecology program after completing my master's. I like to cook and experiment with different types of ethnic dishes. I love travel and photographing the environment; and my most favorite thing is to combine education and science in different, unexpected ways.
